$447,500 Recovered for Beekeeper with Back Surgery

Date: July 15, 2009

Mr. A is 48-year old beekeeper. On his way to look into his bee hives, he was rear-ended by a large tow truck. After a 10 month period of conservative treatment for the resulting back injury, Mr. A was forced to have back surgery. Originally, the tow company denied any liability because Mr. A was rear-ended two years beforehand and received considerable treatment for his back. P&D was referred the case to litigate it. We obtained various eye witness testimony that Mr. A returned to work without complaints following the prior injury. And, we demonstrated the seriousness of the impact with direct evidence that it bent the frame on Mr. A's pick up truck. For this, we also retained high-level assistance from a Harvard educated biomechanical expert. Result: Case Settled one week before trial for $447,500.
